6 TikTok Accounts For Happy Scrolling
By Laura Lawrence | October 24, 2024
Between the election and everything else going on in the world, I need a dose of positivity more than ever. (Anyone else?!) Instead of letting social media stress me out, I intentionally fill my feeds with creators who share good vibes, spread positivity, and make me laugh.
Want to steal my secrets for a happier scroll? I've rounded up my top 6 favorite TikTok accounts that are guaranteed to make you smile. Stop doom-scrolling and let those endorphins fly.
@jadenbarba
While TikTok is notorious for its endless dance content served to us by professionals (and not-so-professional creators), @jadenbarba is one dance-based account that I’ll gladly come back to time and time again. My favorites are his “normalize giving ur friends a whole performance when they pick u up” videos. His effortless front flips as he makes his way to his friend’s car are just as impressive as they are entertaining. This kid is insanely talented and if I had an ounce of his dance skills I’d be the life of any wedding reception DJ set.
@smacmccreanor
This creator takes remix videos to a whole new level. My favorite are her side-by-side videos where she acts out what’s happening in the original clip. It could be anything from mimicking a dancing, colorful parrot to her own interpretation of an object succumbing to a hydraulic press. It’s dramatic genius, really.
@jociebasmr
I’ve been following Jocie since the pandemic when the entire world felt anxious and I was in desperate need of some relaxing escape. Enter, Jocie B ASMR. ASMR has become increasingly popular on TikTok, with new creators popping up left and right. And while I can’t pinpoint exactly what makes this content format so addicting, it seems to be a widespread phenomenon. So while there’s lots of competition out there, Jocie has found a brilliant way to stand out in the sea of ASMR creators by letting their colorful personality become part of their brand. From quirky Tooth Fairy roleplay to seasonal character POVs, Jocie is one of the most refreshing and creative people in my feed.
@denvermns
Yes, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science forever has my heart because it was my former place of employment when I lived in Colorado. BUT, I 100% appreciate the relatable humor that this account cranks out to educate followers on otherwise heavier nature and science topics. My favorite so far? A most recent video where the staff let Gen Z write the marketing script. Lol. Very mindful. Very demure.
@beanwizardofficial
Hope & Justin’s account is a newer discovery for me. The algorithm fed me their video of Justin playing Barbies with his daughter and it was the realest thing I’d seen in a long time. As a married mom of two littles, I find this account to be so refreshing because of its honesty and reliability. While there are so many accounts out there these days that seem disingenuous and straight-up rehearsed, this one is the complete opposite. Nothing fancy, just some good old-fashioned authenticity.
@mo_mountain_mutts
An instant dopamine hit even if you’re not a dog lover (and, also, HOW DARE YOU). This dog trainer, walker, and sitter is located in Skagway, Alaska. The best part of this account? Their frequent live streams of dogs riding on a little bus, being picked up and dropped off for outings. I dare you not to tear up when you watch the bus approach a driveway with a happy pup waiting patiently to join his friends, like a kindergartner on their first day of school. Each furry pooch is carefully buckled into a seat and on they go to pick up the next one.
So, the next time you scroll through some drama or happen upon some content that feels unnecessarily heavy, just remember that a place exists in this world where dogs ride a bus just for them and happiness can be as simple as that.
Just remember, YOUR feed is one-of-a-kind and YOU have the power to tell the algorithm what content you want more of. So, fill it with laughter and positivity and engage with creators that give you all the feels.
